Artist? It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it. Just back from a visit to Italy, more specifically the Bay of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. Busy time and many splendid things seen. Highlights were visits to the excavations at Pompeii and Herculaneum, followed by a trip to the Archaeological Museum in Naples to see all the fascinating artifacts recovered from the Pompeii site. I want to feature some of my photos from those sites in subsequent posts, but first here's a random selection of 'seens':
